Pea Island Annual Crab Rodeo
This Saturday, June 11 from 9 a.m.until noon head out to Pea Island Wildlife Refuge for the Annual Crabbing and Fishing Rodeo. Every year local and vacationing families alike, look forward to the festivities. The event is sponsored annually by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Coastal Wildlife Refuge Society .

Every year on the frist weekend of June, Ocracoke Island is filled with the sounds of music and storytelling. The 12th Annual Ocrafolk Music and Storytelling Festival begins this Friday, June 3.
Local artists and craftsmen will be on hand selling their locally made goods. And live music and storytelling will fill the streets.
In April 2010, a Sun Realty owner found a piece of a 1609 wreck in front of their Outer Banks home “Round House” 110. This home is at the end of Sea Tern Dr. one street north of Port Trinitie in Duck, NC. It had a very unusual end with a knotch, groove and wooden pegs.
